Elementary school students who are having academic setbacks are paired with a qualified mentor. Together they’ll participate in a structured 7-month program to help instill core values and motivate the child to strive for their best.
What To Expect
The Trailblazer program process starts with an educational institution (usually an elementary school) or a parent identifying a child in need of additional care. The sort of care that can be offered by a mentor, either academic, psychological or parental. The school counsellor contacts DUTY and asks DUTY to provide such services to the student. DUTY matches the student with a mentor, a schedule is established, and the Trailblazer program is initiated.
Our goal is to help 100,000 elementary students improve their academic performance.
We want to create a community where no child is left behind and where children in the US have all the resources available for them to succeed.
My son was falling so far behind that we were worried that he would never catch up. Incredibly in 9 months, our son went from failing to thriving. In less than a year my son was able to go from an F in Math to a B+. The confidence my son developed in this program has withstood the test of time. 2 years after he completed the Trailblazer program and he’s still a consistent A & B+ student.
